Some of the information provided on this site is freely available to all. There are, however, some password controlled areas for PHS staff, and our Customers. Any links which refer to these areas are identified by an appropriate suffix - [P], and [C] respectively for these 2categories of users, except in the list generated by the site search.

Find your way around the site!
	Move up and down pages ("scroll") by using the up and down arrow keys or clicking the arrows at the right of screen
	Go to the bottom of the page with the "End" key, to the top with the"Home" key (not all browsers).
	Scroll to the top of most pages to find a link back to the previous menu, otherwise simply click on the "Back" icon on your browsers tool bar.
	You can move back or forward between pages by clicking arrows at top of your browser window

Find the information you need

On a specific page	Use your browsers built-in 'Find' feature - in Explorer chose 'Edit' on the menu bar then 'find on this page'. This allows you to easily find every reference to particular subject in a large document (if it is all on one page).
In this site	Choose the "Search this site" option on the Poultry Health Services home page. Keep in mind that not all areas of the site may be accessible to you (see top of this page).
On our links page	This page has links to a broad range of other web sites of interest. Remember that you can search for a specific word or combination of words here just like on any page. To get straight to the links page <Click Here>

PHS Website pages contain different coloured (and usually underlined) words ("links" in the jargon) that transfer you around the Web Site. Links between related information are the big advantage of this electronic technology compared to the normal printed document. There are also links which can connect you to other sites via your Internet connection.
To help you keep track of where you are all "core" pages in this site have the same colour scheme as the main page. The various articles included have a white background.

Access PHS-ECL pages directly

If there is a page that you use regularly, you can go directly to it at any time by adding it to the "Favorites" or "Bookmarks" menu of your web browser software. Just go to the page you want, then pull down the "Favorites" or "Bookmarks" menu and select the "Add" option. Next time you want it, you will not need to go through the menus - access it directly from the "Favorites" or "Bookmarks" menu.

To change size of text displayed

The size of text may be altered on most browsers either by clicking on a "Font" icon on the tool-bar or selecting a View menu or, in the case of Netscape Navigator the Options menu then General Preferences.

Make the most of your use of the Net

This site provides a number of opportunities to comment on the content, and forward E-mail messages. You and other users will get the most benefit from this if you first familiarise yourself with the general rules of polite communication on the Internet.
