(Editors Note - The UK dot refers to the case of a parrot in quarantine. There were also positive smuggled eagles in Brussels Airport which are not shown on this map)
Color code to H5N1 map:
Purple = 2003
genotype V animal outbreaks in Korea and Japan that were
eradicated and have not recurred
Blue = genotype Z clade one animal outbreaks. Small dots = 2004
outbreaks, larger dots = 2005 and 2006 outbreaks,
Red = genotype Z clade 2, again small dots = 2004, large dots =
2005 and 2006.
Green = Human cases.
